AIoT & Digital Transformation Engineer

Turning chaosinto controlled,traceable systems.

I’m Ali Faour, a computer engineer in Abu Dhabi. I build operational software and connected infrastructure, turning field data and complex requirements into clear, traceable workflows.

From the first field reading to the final handover.

A defined scope. A clear result.

100+Gas control and detection systems in the ADNOC deployment program.
6 → 2Months: the program’s initial delivery plan compared with the team’s completed delivery.
200+Technical reports generated through the program’s Python and PowerShell reporting workflow.

These figures describe the program documented in the ADNOC case study. My contribution covered delivery coordination, execution planning, and reporting automation.

Less repetition.
More engineering.

I use AI tools to turn scattered project documents into structured data, reusable templates, and reviewable outputs. The engineering stays in the decisions: what matters, what is missing, and what is ready to move forward.

For the RELAAM building work, I used Codex to support document extraction, then cleaned and reconciled the results in Excel. The same data fed contract drafts, a master tracker, and missing-document controls.

  1. Extract

Use AI to handle repetitive document reading and structure relevant source information.

  2. Reconcile

Clean the data, check it against the source, and make gaps and inconsistencies visible.

  3. Reuse

Carry checked data into templates, registers, drafts, and status summaries.

  4. Review & deliver

Apply engineering judgment, resolve blockers, and prepare outputs for the people using them.

I work where software meets the site.

My background is computer engineering. My day-to-day work spans gas infrastructure, software, field teams, vendors, and the records that keep an operation accountable.

I translate operational problems into data structures, interfaces, and repeatable processes. That means understanding a permit or commissioning constraint as carefully as an application workflow.

Operational platforms

C# and .NET applications, connected business records, permissions, configurable workflows, and interfaces built around real operational tasks.

Gridlock’s architecture

IoT & telemetry

Device-to-platform architecture, communications and hosting requirements, manufacturer engineering coordination, and integration decisions aligned with client and operational needs.

The infrastructure approach

Automation & reporting

Structured Excel inputs, Python and PowerShell processing, SQL, and reporting that makes missing information visible before it reaches an output.

The reporting pipeline

Projects & documentation

Multi-site execution across Abu Dhabi and Dubai, stakeholder coordination, inspection records, approval tracking, and controlled handover documentation.

The execution approach

Software engineering,
grounded in delivery.
